Skills, Transitioning & Employment Pathways to Success or S.T.E.P.S. is a newly established non-profit in Deer Park, TX with a focus on assisting adults with intellectual, physical, and emotional disabilities to find meaning and purpose through community-based vocational training. We believe every person, regardless of their abilities, deserves the opportunity to share their individual talents with the world.
In 2018, S.T.E.P.S. began the process of establishing itself as a non-profit organization with these goals in mind:
1. Increase community-based vocational training and volunteering available to individuals with special needs in our area.
2. Give those who thought they were unable to work in the community a community-based vocational training and volunteer center where they can make the most of their individual talents within our first year
3. To provide financial aid through grants for individuals to receive community-based vocational training.
4. Establish a permanent facility with multiple vocational training and volunteer centers within five years of inception
